BEAUDESERT – The Region

The town of Beaudesert grew out of the Beau Desert station which was taken up in the area after it was opened up for free settlement in 1842. The English ‘Beau Desert’ means ‘beautiful wilderness’.

Central to the wider known Scenic Rim, Beaudesert is surrounded by world heritage national parks, valleys and large water ways.
